This Summer, we kicked off our new partnership with After-School All-Stars. Folks from our Home Office visited two ASAS Summer Camp sites at Philadelphia Public Schools, in Kensington and South Philly, made possible by our Volunteer Paid Time Off program. We decorated up-cycled picture frames with fabric from retired Nuuly inventory, teaching the kids about sustainability while letting them flex their creative muscles.
We wrapped up our ASAS Summer Camp partnership with an URBN campus visit from Conwell Middle School students. During the tour our of buildings, cafe, and outdoor spaces, the students learned about a wide variety of career paths. After the tour, Nuuly hosted a mock photoshoot and a styling activity, resulting in hundreds of photos and even more laughs. The field trip ended with a pizza and taco bar and a visit from URBN Co-President and Chief Operating Officer, Frank Conforti.
Until next summer, ASAS Summer Camp!
Next up for our ASAS partnership is the URBN Graphic Design Academy. URBN and ASAS have built a curriculum that will teach middle school students graphic design and marketing basics, empowering them to create their own graphic tee's and sell them online. The nationwide program will kick off this fall. We can't wait to see how these students put their creativity into action!
