Intro to drawing, how to distress jeans, personal finance tips, health and wellness – we’ve covered it all and then some at our Brown Bag Workshops. Held every Friday during lunch, Brown Bag Workshops provide engaging, useful information on a variety of topics. These workshops give employees an opportunity to connect with other like-minded colleagues and tap into their artistic minds. Not to mention, they’re the perfect way to end a busy work week! Our Wellness Series provides URBN employees with a chance to educate themselves on health and self-care. Holistic Wellness is important to us – which is why each month we engage in conversation with a wellness professional or hos an experiential fitness event for our community.

Inspired by an employee who was passionate about their time in Big Brothers Big Sisters, we decided to get involved and start our own program here at URBN. Now, a number of our employees mentor a student every other week. On those days, you can spot “bigs” and “littles” around our Navy Yard campus playing games, eating lunch, doing arts and crafts or just getting to know each other. Over the course of the school year, their time together makes a significant impact. We believe that youth mentoring fosters a bright future for our surrounding communities.

URBN employees are always collaborating and learning from each other. Our semi-annual Hack-a-thon is one of the amazing ways our IT Department does this.

Each Summer, the Benefits Team hosts their annual Benefits Fair on campus. The Benefits Fair is a chance for our home office employees to get all their benefit questions answered by meeting our benefit vendors. The vendors come armed with program knowledge and maybe a few giveaways too! The team also provides on-site wellness programs and cancer screenings.

In partnership with Independence Blue Cross, URBN has secured 100 bibs to the broad street run to gift to our employees. Each year, we'll raffle these off to our Home Office employees.

For our Thanksgiving food drive, URBN has partnered with the Navy Yard and Philabundance; a Philadelphia based non-profit dedicated to driving hunger out of our communities and ending hunger forever. 1 in 5 Philadelphians face hunger on a daily basis, and it’s our goal to change that statistic.
