Our people leaders are a critical element of our talent strategy and URBN offers several tiers of programs to invest in this population. Through both skill-based and workshop-style learning opportunities, managers at URBN are able to develop their leadership styles in order to provide the biggest impact to their teams and business areas.
The success of our business relies on the ability to listen to our customers and provide them with quality products that will speak to them. Our Merchants in Buying, Planning, Allocation and Merchandising are on the front lines of this effort. Supporting these business areas, URBN offers a 3.5 month enrichment program where early-professional Merchants can refine their technical acumen and soft skills, get inspired by senior leaders across campus, travel to our distribution and fulfillment centers to learn more about product logistics, and spend time in our stores to learn more about our customer.
URBN aims to provide tools to both managers and employees in order to maximize the effectiveness of their time together through rich and consistent dialogue. We offer our employees a variety of training opportunities through both self-led and in-person mediums in order to empower our people to drive their personal and team’s performance to new heights throughout the year.
Our store employees are creative, passionate and entrepreneurial, all qualities that also make for a successful career at URBN’s Home Office. Naturally, we love to see our store and field employees continue to grow their careers with us and URBN supports this through our Store-to-Home Office initiative. We host regional informational sessions as well as events at our Home Office in Philadelphia to meet our store employees interested in making this transition.
